Me Grimlock

We watched “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” last weekend. It was good, but a bit trite and long. The kids didn’t get bored though, with the crashes and booms, explosions and fast-paced action. Never mind the story. When we got home, I digged out Grimlock, from Hasbro’s “Transformers: Alternators” line. He was in a ziplock bag, unassembled. I had to rebuild him into a Ford Mustang GT (yes, he’s a Dinobot, but in the “Binaltech” {the Japanese “Alternators”} storyline, he was reborn into a Mustang form).

Using manuals scavenged from the Internet (Grimlock was released in 2005, when kuya was four years old), kuya Gab transformed him into the robot form in the pics. I couldn’t transform him back to the Mustang, though. Heh. Grimlock was originally kuya Gab’s, but now he’s Julian’s, who *loves* it. He used to play with it when he was a baby, but that was a disaster, hence the ziplock bag. He’s more careful with his toys now. (Well, not so much with his LEGO, but that’s another story.) I’ll take better photos next time.
